Rahul jobless after Modi became PM: Yogi Adityanath | Vadodara News

Vadodara: Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath took potshots at Rahul Gandhi’s unemployment allegations in Gujarat and said that after Narendra Modi became the PM, it was the Congress scion who has been rendered jobless.

Adityanath was addressing a public meeting near ITI in Gorwa on Thursday.

“After Modiji became PM, those raising slogans in favour of Pakistan and pelting stones in Kashmir have disappeared. This has left Rahul Gandhi highly disappointed. He used to see vote bank in these people but now he has run out of issues and rendered jobless,” said Adityanath at a charged-up meeting.

The UP CM continued is tirade against the Gandhi scion for his temple visits and said, “It is only because of elections that he has started visiting temples. In fact, Rahul does not even know how to pray. Once he was seated to perform a ‘puja’ but it looked as if he was performing ‘namaaz’,” he said.

Amid chants of ‘Jai Shri Ram’, Adityanath said that he was surprised at Congress’ claim of Gandhi being a janeu-wearing Hindu. “As far a person is living in Bharat, he is a Hindu. It is immaterial whether a person wears janeu, sports a ‘choti’ or applies tilak,” he said.

“Once in Gorakhpur some Muslims told me that they face discrimination in Saudi Arabia. When they go for ‘haj’, they are identified as Hindus. Hinduism is not a religion or caste but it is a culture,” said Adityanath.

Urging people to vote for BJP on December 14, he said, “For all these years under Congress rule, UP and Bihar remained backward states because of the party’s casteism and nepotism. But now, both states are treading the development path.”
